Nicole L. McGuire

Associate Attorney

Nicole is an attorney with experience with a variety of complex family law matters and has represented a wide array of high net-worth clients. Nicole has extensive experience drafting, reviewing and advising clients regarding premarital, postnuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Prior to joining Barnett Law Group, Nicole’s practice focused primarily on taxation and estate planning. Nicole routinely advised and assisted individuals and families on a range of tax, estate and business planning matters. Nicole gained extensive experience drafting and reviewing various trusts, wills, gifting documents and other documents related to tax and estate planning and experience with basic corporate work, including formation and maintenance of partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations and drafting promissory notes, purchase agreements and other related documents. In her role at her prior firm, Nicole was responsible for drafting all premarital, postnuptial and cohabitation agreements for clients, which ultimately led her to transition into family law and join Barnett Law Group.

Nicole also has experience consulting with corporate clients on complex federal corporate income tax matters, including designing and implementing domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions and tax planning strategies for domestic and multi-national corporations and conducting mergers and acquisitions tax due diligence.

Nicole leverages her prior experience in tax and estate planning to obtain optimal results for her family law clients, particularly business owners and entrepreneurs, and those with extensive estate planning in place.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her dog, running, hiking, paddle boarding and traveling.

Education

Nicole is a graduate of the University of Florida where she earned her undergraduate degree in 2010. Nicole received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2013 and her Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from New York University in 2014.
